    DarkRP Rules

    Common Courtesy

    • Be kind; no abusive or hurtful behavior, including toward staff.
    • Take responsibility for your actions; don’t disrupt, stall, or void role-play unless an admin instructs you.
      • Leaving to avoid punishment, baiting others to break rules, or ignoring staff messages is not allowed.
    • Admin instructions are final across all platforms. Dispute them only via a staff report afterward.
    • Public chats must be in English.
    • Use @ message for general questions; use a staff request for issues. Direct-messaging admins is discouraged.
    • AFK is allowed if you’re not obstructing active areas; otherwise do so at your own risk.
    • Any discrimination (hate-speech, homophobia, racism, antisemitism, etc.) is forbidden.

    Punishment: verbal warning up to ban depending on severity.

    Metagaming (MG)

    • Using out-of-character information in character—or inciting others to do so—is prohibited.

      • You may not act on events your character didn’t witness.
    • Interactions void after 10 s without visual contact (or job-switch). You may hold sight for at most 2 min before a scenario voids.

    Punishment: admin jail up to ban based on impact.

    Random Deathmatching (RDM)

    • Assault includes damage, threats, tasing, bug-bait, wants/warrants, stunstick, strangling.

    • Killing/attempting to kill without valid reason is forbidden.

      • Direct threats to life, property, or freedom may be killed without warning.
      • For all else, issue a 10-second typed warning with clear instructions; ensure targets see it.
    • Do not kill people issuing warnings that don’t target you; confirm first if uncertain.

    • If warning instructions are met, do not kill the warned party unless they show hostile intent (e.g., unholstering weapons, assaulting, stealing, issuing warnings to you).

    • Revenge killing without a new reason is not allowed.

    Punishment: verbal warning up to ban.

    Robbing, Mugging & Scamming

    • Robbing: taking possessions by force/threat. Scamming: refusing agreed payment/goods after a transaction.
    • Players under 50 h playtime may not be sole robbery/mugging targets (abuse is punishable).
    • Scamming is strictly forbidden—always use text chat for logs.
    • Mugging cap: $5,000; issue a 10-second mug warning specifying target & amount.
    • Don’t rob/mug the same player more than once per 10 min.
    • Loans and peer-to-peer gambling are at your own risk; staff won’t intervene.

    Punishment: verbal warning up to ban.

    Building & Basing

    • No prop-blocking, entity/door spamming, griefing, minging, or oversized/intrusive builds.

    • Max 3 fading doors per base; 10 props per fading door.

      • Doorway fading doors must be lock-pickable or kept unlocked.
    • Layouts must be clear—no mazes, traps, hidden keypads, crouch/jump obstacles, sky-bases, mega-bases, frictionless slides, etc.

    • No property hoarding for resale; unused owned bases may be cleared for others.

    • Use Building signs while constructing; remove once finished.

    Punishment: verbal warning up to ban.

    Raiding

    • A raid starts when a raid action occurs (kill defender, shoot raidables, crack, pick, C4, etc.).

      • Raiders must have sufficient tools to complete the raid or be related to someone who does.
      • Running out of supplies = leave base (Fail Raid otherwise).
    • Raid zone: 10 shoulder lengths from any entrance/exit/wall; anyone inside may be KOS.

    • Leaving/dying removes raiders from participation; defenders may return.

    • No spawning props or modifying base during an active raid; non-participants must not interfere.

    • Raid ends when all raiders die or exit raid zone.

    • Don’t raid clearly empty/build-signed bases; 10 min cooldown before raiding same base/player again (applies to faction).

      • Raids may not exceed 10 min.
      • Chain-raiding (alternating friends) is forbidden.
    • Police checkpoints may be raided.

    Punishment: admin jail up to ban.

    RP Relation

    You may protect RP-related players/property via:

    • Faction membership
    • Basing together (while within their raid zone)
    • Customer transactions
    • Matching job names
    • Job relations (see F4 menu) Government jobs have special restrictions (see below). You are not related to allied factions.

    Punishment: verbal warning up to ban.

    Demotions

    Call demotions only for job-duty failures (not general rule breaks unless no staff online):

    • Government corruption
    • Merchants refusing to sell
    • Disobeying job hierarchy orders Provide a thorough complaint.

    Punishment: verbal warning up to ban.

    Territories

    • Faction-based competitive zones unlocking at set prime times (check NPC timer).
    • Anyone inside territory within 2 min of prime time may be killed.
    • Government may not contest territories but may arrest criminals who leave. Abuse of teleports to arrest = bug abuse.
    • Each territory assigns MVPs; all opposing MVPs must die to claim. Non-participants outside at start cannot join; outsiders must not interfere.
    • Fights may not exceed 30 min.

    Punishment: verbal warning up to ban.

    Power Cores

    • Spawn roughly every 30 min; location & rarity announced in chat.
    • Within 5 min of unlock, players inside 10 shoulder lengths are KOS; zone follows the core.
    • You may kill carrier/zone players to steal or secure core.
    • No prop boxes/concealed builds for contesting.
    • Make a reasonable attempt to slot or sell; don’t stash cores to bait kills.

    Punishment: verbal warning up to ban.

    Wilderness

    • RDM rules lifted; all players are KOS.
    • Any class may raid in wilderness.
    • Don’t exploit wilderness AI or terrain (prop traps, unreachable spots).
    • Entering wilderness and being seen still marks you KOS (metagame applies).

    Punishment: admin jail up to ban.

    Faction Sprays

    • Spraying creates a spray-zone (10 shoulder lengths) lasting until claimed or sprayers die.
    • All players in spray-zone—regardless of intent—are KOS.
    • Sprays have no cooldown; contest anytime.

    Punishment: admin jail up to ban.


    Job Rules

    Government

    General

    • Government cannot be RP-related to non-government.
    • Police should arrest rather than kill unless under immediate assault.
    • Mayor & Police Chief may build in PD.

    Arrest on Sight (AOS)

    • Witnessing any crime
    • Entering/exiting PD (lobby exempt)
    • Weapon/body-blocking in active raid zone

    Kill on Sight (KOS)

    • Entering/exiting PD (lobby exempt)

    10-Second Arrest Warnings

    • Use instead of kill warnings
    • Required to send players home during lockdown
    • Give fellow government 10-second demote warnings

    Warranting/Wanting

    • No planting evidence
    • Act only on visible infractions (illegal items, door names, /go, adverts, local chats)
    • May warrant bases owned by elusive wanted individuals (name on door or /go)

    Raiding

    • Only with other government on search warrant
    • May not return to active raid zones (except PD or owned bases)

    Demotion Reasons

    • Refusing law enforcement (ignoring visible crimes)
    • Corruption (breaking laws for personal gain)
    • Releasing prisoners intentionally
    • Blocking doorways or lingering after 10-second warning
    • Failing to show arrest baton in PD when asked

    Mayor

    General

    • No laws obstructing RP/building or encouraging rule break.
    • Immune during Mayor’s Grace unless they initiate RP (no office camping).
    • May authorize checkpoints.

    Demotion Reason

    • Special-treatment laws (except for all government)
    • Laws bypassing default illegals (printers, drug labs, armor stations)

    Hitman

    • May kill anyone with a valid hit (Mayor protected during grace).
    • May claim hits behind building signs without raiding tools; may raid solely to claim hit but must depart afterward.
